Recovery starts with being truly heard.
I’m Tim Beames, and I specialise in helping people with persistent pain find a way forward – especially when conventional approaches haven’t worked. If you have CRPS, chronic pelvic pain syndrome, complex musculoskeletal presentations then I can help you. I help people with pain presentations that don’t fit neat diagnostic boxes. Your story may be complicated, and over the years I have developed a skillset for helping people like you.
Over 25 years, I’ve learned that my role isn’t to ‘fix’ you—it’s to guide and support you in understanding your pain and developing strategies for your unique situation. Recovery is possible when we address all contributing factors: body, mind, and life circumstances. That means integrating contemporary pain science with manual therapy (for relief), movement work (for confidence), gym-based rehabilitation (for capacity), and psychology-informed care (because pain is complex).
But here’s what really matters: I listen. I create space. I sit comfortably with uncertainty. And I genuinely care about helping you rebuild confidence in your body and your life.
I’ve co-authored The Graded Motor Imagery Handbook, taught pain science across 35+ countries to 10,000+ clinicians, and co-founded Le Pub Scientifique—an international platform exploring evolving ideas about pain. I hold an MSc in Pain: Science & Society (Distinction) from King’s College London and believe deeply that “better never ends.”
Why Better? The philosophy here—”we don’t fix you, we help you fix yourself” – fits my approach and understanding perfectly. I love working with a team that shares these values: collaboration over fixing, empathy over protocols, and helping people truly thrive.
If you’ve been struggling and need someone who will actually listen while we figure out a different path forward—I’m here.
